Painter · East Anglian coast

Light, weather and the long eastern horizon

Nata Mo paints the coast twice over: once in quick, affectionate ink and watercolour — crooked chimneys, gulls, the pub on the corner — and again in heavy, cracked, mixed-media landscapes that look as if the weather made them. Both are for sale. Neither is for the faint of colour.

“Thirty years at the easel, two capitals, one stubborn eye for colour — and a coastline that never sits still long enough to be painted the same way twice.”

Commissions

Your house, your pub, your street

The coastal paintings started as portraits of buildings with personality. If you have one — a family home, a favourite pub, the cottage where every summer happened — Nata takes a small number of private commissions each year.

The painting is beautiful and perfectly captures a part of Aldeburgh where I spent many happy times. It arrived speedily and very securely packaged

A beautiful piece of art that made the perfect gift for my mother in law for her 60th. Southwold has been our family holiday destination for 3 years (will be 4 this year) so this was the best gift for her.
